Arts and Culture

A short Aquabus ride across False Creek brings you to Granville Island.

In addition to its famed Public Market; the Island is also home to three theatre companies as well as numerous galleries and artists’ studios. Its main dock is located at the mouth of the Creek, and just happens to be right down the block from 910 Beach! For an inexpensive fare, travelers can hop aboard the Aquabus and take a quick jaunt across the waters to Granville Island or putter on down to the outskirts of Yaletown. Just sit back and enjoy the splendour of the boats moored at the marina or marvel at the sight of passing underneath the Granville Street Bridge! The Great Outdoors

Strolling the Seawall and exploring nearby Stanley Park are activities common to all Vancouverites. Boat charters for either fishing or pleasure sailing or sea kayak rentals are available at a number of outlets in The Maritime Market on Granville Island. During the ski season, both Grouse Mountain and Cypress Bowl offer alpine and cross-country equipment rentals and day-passes.

Walking/Running/Cycling and In-line Skating

The nearby Seawall Promenade is the ideal location to work off some of those calories. Both bicycles and in-line skates are available close to 910 Beach. If your idea of “activity” includes something a little slower, then walking the Seawall to Stanley Park might just do the trick!
